Biography: Warrant Officer, Royal Canadian Airforce. Died when a Halifax Bomber of No. 433 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force crashed at Lonan. The aircraft caught fire and crashed on Grawe Farm, scattering wreckage over a two mile radius. Pieces landed on the bungalow 'Hokang', Pinfold Hill, setting it on fire, causing the death of a three year old boy. The bomber had taken off on an exercise from an aerodrome in northern England about an hour before the accident carrying a crew of seven, all of whom lost their lives (source: Manx Independent, 27 October 2006)
