Bridesmaid's Dress
Date made: late 18th century
Description: Dress, one piece, blue silk with inset front of white silk, quilted and sewn with pearls at the intersections. Embroidered net swathing at neck and wrists. Bodice lined with white fabric and boned. Sides of skirt trimmed with pinked self pleating.
Worn by donor's aunt, Miss Clucas of Thornhill, at a Curphey/Farrant wedding of her cousin, a Farrant of Ballakillinghan.
