Hexagon Quilt

Description: Turkey red and white hexagon cotton patchwork quilt.

The quilt has a pattern of rosettes or 'Grandmother's Garden' made of white hexagons with red hexagon centres. There is a wide Turkey red cotton border machined around all four edges.

The patchwork top and border is backed with a white cotton sheet and hand-quilted with white cotton thread in a zig-zag pattern. The edge of the quilt is machine-quilted (running stitch) in a zig-zag pattern with white cotton.

This quilt came from the family of Mine Captain Bateman.
