Paisley shawl

Description: Paisley shawl of mainly red, blue and gold pattern. 8 bands of abstract 'floral' designs with narrow side border on sides and double band border on ends with fringe. Pattern the same both sides but different colours.
The shawl belonged to the donor'sgrandmother, Ellen O'Hara (nee Jackson) born 1844 of Douglas. The donor's mother once wore the shawl for a Manx tea party. It may originally have belonged to the great-grandmothers Margaret Jackson (nee Kermode) or Eleanor Jackson (from Cumberland).
