Cotton Striped Quilt

Description: A striped patchwork quilt with three different materials used to make the six stripes. The fabrics are one with red outline squares on a white ground; a pale blue floral sprig pattern; and a red floral on a white ground. A diamond stitch pattern is applied throughout the quilt.
The quilt is backed with white sheeting (finely woven) and is machine-quilted in a diamond lattice pattern with white cotton thread. The edges are bound by one line of machine stitching in white cotton thread. The quilt contains an unbleached woollen blanket as filling.
The quilt belonged to the donor's family, either the Kinnish family of Mullinaragher or the Moores of Santon.
