Woollen Wholecloth Quilt

Date made: late 19th century

Description: A reversible coarse woollen wholecloth quilt.

The quilt is backed with unbleached woollen fabric and is hand-quilted in a zig-zag pattern with a white woollen thread although the thread appears yellow or green in the centre of the quilt. The quilt does not contain any wadding and is bound by two rows of hand stitch on all sides.
