St Patrick's Isle Pagan Lady Burial Glass Bead
Date made: Viking: 800-1265
Description: Cylindrical, with opaque composite decoration. Translucent black, decorated with three red crossed swags enclosing sections of millefiori made from opaque white and pink glass.
Scientific analysis of chemical composition by Julian Henderson showed a content of mostly silica dioxide for the pink millefiori decoration.
