Description: Oil painting of gentleman sat holding a map/ estate plan. Dressed in black suit, gold watch chain visible, sat in a red upholstered chair, pair of dividers visible on subject's right-hand side. Plaque undernearth portrait reads 'James Kewley C.E. of Ballanard, Onchan (1783-1863)'.
James Kewley undertook the publishing of the 1819 Manx Bible following the death of Rev H.Stowell.
