Copper, zinc and lead ore

Description: Collection of crystalline mineral specimens origin unknown (? retrieved from grounds): (1) Quartz, 1 3/4 inch; (2A and B) clear, large euhedral quartz crystals grown on a mm thick layer of botryoidal haematite. B has aggregations of platy haematite crystals. (3) Euhedral quartz crystals with coatings of dolomite on sphalerite, 3 3/4 inch. (4) Very coarse, euhedral galena cubes with euhedral sphalerite and sparry quartz with subhedral pyrite, 8 1/2 inch, in cabinet 4, drawer 7. Quartz head (5) Calcite/dolomite and sphalerite. (6) Vein of fine subhedral white calcite with subhedral sphalerite (grey-black, sub-metallic lustre) and galena - 3 inch. (7) cm scale euhedral galena with subhedral white calcite crystals and large ?dolomite rhombic crystals - 2 1/2 inch. (8) Euhedral quartz crystals with finer ?calcite aggregations and a cm scale sphalerite crystal - 2 inch. (9) Subhedral galena. (10) Anhedral galena. (11) Subhedral brassy yellow chalcopyrite crystals with finer euhedral milky quartz crystals - 3 3/4 inch. (12) 2 1/4 inch chalcopyrite and quartz. (13) malachite copper ore, botryoidal with radiating crystals, 4cm, and a sample of malachite and azurite; (14) 2 1/2 inch. (15) slightly botryoidal malachite with a felsic country rock - 2 1/2 inch. (16) Large mass of anhedral chalcopyrite. (17) Mass of subhedral pyrite - 2 1/4 inch. (18) Large, euhedral dolomite crystals with euhedral pyrite; (19) Botryoidal haematite, 2 3/4 inch.
