Description: "As to circles in the grass, and the impression of small feet among the snow [left by the 'little people' or fairies] I cannot deny but I have seen them frequently, and once thought I heard a whistle, as tho in my Ear, when nobody that could make it was near me." (George Waldron, The History and Description of the Isle of Man, 1726, M 00733).

Album of watercolour sketches. The artist is thought to be associated with the Gibb family of the Grove, Ramsey.
