Description: Black skirt, apparently wool and silk mixture, with scrolling floral pattern reserved in silk against nubbly wool ground. 5 panels gathered onto 1.5 cm tape band, each lined separately with black silk. Placket fastened with 5 hooks and bars. Deep pleat centre back. Black wool braid (2.5 cm) double to take wear at hem 58 cm waist 1.4 cm long.
Said to have been worn (with ID numbers 1979-0071,3-4) by the maker Mrs Watterson (nee Miss Annie McCombe).
