Description: Half-length portrait of artist in full/draped jacket with paint brush in right hand and palette in left hand. Receding hairline and grey hair & long whiskers.
There is significant damage to the painted surface and the frame is extremely crude, indeed it appears to have bee recycled from packing cases. This may reflect the austerity of the times in which it was painted (1950s) or indeed the obvious eccentricity of this artist.
