Wooden brooch
Date made: 1942
Description: Set of six small wooden blocks with button shanks on back, set into a strip of metal (wired and glued in place), large brooch pin on back. Wooden blocks have inlaid metal in shape of letters F,R,I,E,D,A.
Commissioned by donor's husband, Cyril Standen, from the Hutchinson Camp internees (ordered via the Villa Marina craft shop). Cyril Standen was the Finance Officer at the camp (also Ramsey Mooragh camp). Brooch illustrated in donor's book 'Wartime Memories'.
