Woollen Framed Medallion Quilt

Description: The pieced red and black woollen framed medallion quilt has a central square of contrasting triangles surrounded by a band of pinwheels and squares set as diamonds. The quilt is made mainly of wool with some sateen and linsey-woolsey patches.
The quilt is backed with a white blanket and hand-quilted in a zig-zag pattern. The quilt does not contain any filling.
This quilt is from the Joughin family of Thurot cottage, Bride.
