Hutchinson Camp carved model of a joinery plane

Description: A miniature handmade model of a joiner's hand plane, made by an internee, prisoner in Hutchinson Camp for the donor's father, Thomas (Tommy) Johnston, a guard at Hutchinson Camp from 1941 onwards (originally he spent first six months at Mooragh Camp c.1940). The model has a small (sharp) metal blade in it to act as plane iron.
