Woollen Striped Quilt

Description: A blue and red woollen striped patchwork quilt with each stripe made from a single length of hand-woven fabric.
The quilt is backed with two pieces of dark blue linsey-woolsey fabric and is hand-quilted in a zig-zag pattern with red woollen thread. The edges of the quilt are bound with the same fabric used for the patchwork top and hemmed by hand with black cotton thread. The quilt contains an unbleached blanket cloth as filling.
The quilt is from the home of Miss Abigail Faragher, Earystane Smithy, Arbory.
