Replica of Joey Dunlop's motorcycle helmet

Date made: 2001

Description: This motorcycle helmet is a replica of the type worn for many years at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) races by Joey Dunlop. It was produced and marketed as a commemorative item after Dunlop's death.

The helmet is in Dunlop's trademark colours of yellow and black.

Joey Dunlop, born in Balleymoney, Northern Ireland, was unquestionably the greatest ever TT rider. His astonishing tally of 26 TT wins is a record which may never be broken. His death in 2000 left TT fans stunned, and in response Arai helmets produced this limited edition replica helmet, as a tribute.
