The crowds are shown on the left and right side of the painting and the processional way is lined with flagpoles and uniformed representatives from the services. The painting is impressionistic in style with a thick application of oils on canvas.

This artist was born in Italy and worked across the British Isles painting the Isle of Man and London. He worked using an Impressionist style, and thick oil paint on canvas. His best-known works were predominantly produced during the 1960s
