Quartz and zinc ore

Description: Un-numbered sample - mass of finely crystalline quartz and an acicular black mineral (amphibole?), with bright orange weathering. Second un-numbered sample - anhedral quartz, dolomite and sphalerite. 1 - Very large mass of subhedral sphalerite. 2 - cluster of clear, euhedral sparry quartz with anhedral sphalerite and galena. 3 - mass of greyish orange euhedral quartz crystals with fine anhedral sphalerite. 5 - large, milky, euhedral quartz crystal. 6 - cluster of transparent, euhedral quartz crystals with some finer dolomite. 7 - cluster of translucent euhedral quartz crystals with a layer of anhedral galena. 8 - very large milky white quartz crystal with finer dolomite crystals growing on one face. 9 - cluster of euhedral dolomite crystals with a layer of anhedral ?galena. 10 - coarse, anhedral to euhedral quartz (some vuggy), with euhedral dolomite and anhedral chalcopyrite. 11 - anhedral chalcopyrite with anhedral to euhedral clear quartz and some anhedral dolomite. 12 - translucent euhedral quartz crystals. 13 - anhedral to subhedral chalcopyrite with fine euhedral, clear sparry quartz crystals, with a very pale orange chalky "matrix". Also a separate box of four samples of coarse calcite crystals with overgrowths of chalcopyrite and pyrite with some fine, euhedral quartz.
