Plaque 2 reads as follows: "Between 1944 and 1946 Ronaldsway / Airport became a Royal Naval Air / Station and was commissioned as / H.M.S. Urley. Fleet Air Arm Aircrew / received their operational flying / training here in Barracuda torpedo / reconnaissance aircraft of 705, 710, / 713 & 747 Royal Naval Air Squadrons."
