Bride Cross Slab

Description: This fragment of a cross once stood at the roadside opposite the old entrance into the churchyard, but its earlier history is unknown. Only the shaft of the cross now survives, but an old photograph shows that the slab was once cruciform in outline, and that a circle was carved in each limb. Each circle was joined to the next by a line so that the core of the cross was kite-shaped.
