Maughold Cross Slab

Period: Early Medieval

NGR Easting: 249280

NGR Northing: 491670

Description: This small fragment was apparently found in the village, but its history is unknown.

It is a fragment of the face of a larger piece, with the remains of a border of C-spiral and interlace. Incised, radiating lines suggest that the slab, when complete, may have served as a sun-dial.
