Christian had one of the city's notable careers in the building contracting field was ended with the death in Lakewood Hospital. President of the John E. Christian Co. He was born on the Isle of Man in May,1878, he came to Cleveland in 1903 and ten years later with his partner George Cowell organised the company bearing his name.
